2017 Expectations

Image
Welcome to the year 2017, it promises to be fan, exciting and very interesting. In 2016 we had the grand tour start, we saw the 918 Spyder, LaFerrari and the P1 go head to head, we also witnessed Nico Rosberg win Formula 1 and saw so many cars, wonderful things they could do and things they came with, these are memories to hold on to. However, this is 2017 and it promises to surprise us the more, so let's look at some of the things in store for us this year, this is just a very few of what to expect in the coming year. 1. 2017 Jaguar XE This car is still new in the Jaguar family replacing the X-type. Its sporty looks coupled with its great British engineering and its newness makes this car one to look out for this year. Hope it upholds the proper Jaguar spirit and make it more exciting for those who can't afford a F-Type yet, who still want some good old fashion Jaguar fun.  This is truly one to look out for and thankfully, it is sold here in Ghana. 2. 2017 Fia...

Street Car or Race Car

Car companies tend to make vehicles similar to what they had in collaboration with other companies for the race track with a somewhat tuned performance. The cliché of describing a sports car as a “race car for the modern road” is as old as it is inaccurate, indeed car pundits will argue that there are modern road cars that offer race level performance, but in reality the engineering and the body structure between the two are wildly different. but a race car uses many of the same basic components as a road car, but are designed with a completely different task in mind.   Many of us fantasize about driving a  race car  to work. The power, the acceleration and the speed seem like they would be a dream come true on the road. However street cars and race cars are far from being the same animals. Both have four wheels, an engine, and a drive train; but the similarities stop there. Although the racing circuits are a main contributor of new technology that does make its wa...

The Fiat 500 Abarth

Image
Nothing shocks me anymore especially when it comes to the cars that scamper the streets of Ghana. I know and can tell you for a fact that we have a Lamborghini Aventador and a Huracan in Ghana. We are also blessed with the presence of the Jaguar F-Type on our roads and we have from the Germans, the mighty in smaller body, the Mercedes Benz AMG GTs, at least more than three of them freely roaming our streets. The lists goes on and on and on so you see, it would be very hard for me to be shocked about a car that is rare in Ghana that would shock me, however, I have seen one that has and it has a badge on it............................ From the Italians who do things with too much passion, we have this, the Abarth. The car in question is the Fiat 500 Abarth. Please don't get me wrong, I have seen a couple Fiat cars around; I have seen the 500x, the 500L and the base 500 around. But seeing the badge got my attention. Safe to say this is the only Fiat 500 Abarth in Ghana. What does ...
